KarHub Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and KarHub ("we", "us") covering your use of the KarHub app. By creating an account or using KarHub you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. The most important thing: KarHub is not a mechanic

KarHub provides information, not professional advice. Otto (our AI mechanic), maintenance reminders, tire guides and recall listings are reference material to help you make your own decisions. They are not a substitute for inspection by a qualified technician.

You agree that:

If you are ever unsure whether your vehicle is safe to drive, do not drive it. Have it towed and inspected.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA/UK) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly at 1challahadley@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

(This section satisfies Apple's disclosure requirements for auto-renewable subscriptions.)

3.1 What is free and what is paid

KarHub is free to use for vehicle records, mileage tracking, maintenance logging, reminders, recall lookups, nearby shops and the tire life guide.

KarHub Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks Otto, including photo questions and live web-verified specifications.

3.2 Title, length and price

PlanLengthPrice
KarHub Plus Monthly1 month$7.99 per month
KarHub Plus Annual1 year$59.99 per year

Prices are in U.S. dollars and may differ in other regions; the price shown in the app at purchase is the price charged.

3.3 How billing works

3.4 Free trials

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3.5 Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple's policies. Request one at <https://reportaproblem.apple.com>. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

3.6 Fair-use limits

Otto has per-user limits on how many messages and web-verified lookups may be made in a day and a month. These exist to prevent abuse and runaway automated use, not to restrict normal use. If a limit is reached the app says so and it resets on a rolling basis. We may adjust these limits, and will not set them at a level that defeats normal personal use.

3.7 Price changes

If we change subscription prices, existing subscribers will be notified and asked to consent before the new price applies, as required by Apple.

4. Acceptable use

Do not:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Serious or repeated abuse may be terminated without notice.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into KarHub — your records, notes and photos.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit that content solely to operate the features you use. That includes sending relevant records and photos to our AI provider when you use Otto, as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies retained briefly in backups.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI provider does not either under the paid tier we use.

6. Our content

The KarHub app, its name, design and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may use the app personally; you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of it, or extract its data for another product.

Vehicle data supplied by NHTSA is public U.S. government data. Search results and suggestions shown with AI answers come from Google and are subject to Google's terms.

7. Third-party services

KarHub depends on Supabase, Google, Apple and NHTSA. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and their terms govern their own services. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

8. Disclaimers

KarHub is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that reminders will be delivered, or that any information — including AI answers, specifications and recall data — is accurate, complete or current.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, vehicle damage, personal injury, or the cost of repairs, arising from your use of KarHub or reliance on its information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of KarHub, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Changes to the app and these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If we change these Terms materially we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect; continuing to use KarHub after that means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using KarHub and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, or if we stop offering the service. Sections 1, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction — except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, UK or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, nothing here removes that right.

14. Apple

You acknowledge that:

15. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are the entire agreement between us about KarHub. You may not assign them; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
